The Chandelier

Living art.
Ambient intelligence.

Three equal cubes around one central stem. Warm metal, softly diffused light and artwork that keeps unfolding.

Create as
you speak.

ETHEREA is the living-art technology behind the Chandelier. With listening enabled, it continuously turns speech and music into imagery that unfolds with your conversation.Experience ETHEREA visual radio ↗

A childhood kingdom

“Our red barn was my secret kingdom.”

It chimes in.
When cued.

Choose when it joins the conversation—with a visual cue, a few words, or both.

Your cue
“Chime in if we’re struggling to remember a fact.”

An offer of help when you’re searching for an answer.

Later, in the room

“The painter with those giant water lilies—what was his name?”

“Monet. Claude Monet.”

Water lilies open across the cubes.

Your cues. Your choice.

Set a rule, change it, or pause it. Conversation cues can get things wrong; you can correct or dismiss them. Connected services and cue detection are in development. This page does not listen to you.

A supercomputer
at the heart of your home.

Imagine a home that comes alive with your ideas. That helps you create, remember and connect. A living intelligence that can grow with your family, your space and the possibilities of technology.

The Chandelier and its supporting home system · Product concept

A system designed to keep evolving: add Lamps as your space grows, connect compatible devices, and expand what it can do with new open-source models and tools.

Creative tools, transcription, translation, scheduling and connected-home controls are part of that vision. You decide what belongs in your life.

The Lamp

A little imagination.
Wherever you settle in.

A single cube brings the same living art and cues to a bedside, reading chair or another room. Connected to your home’s supercomputer.

Planned computer and phone access brings that same power to your work and creative life.

Prototype foundation

A canvas on every side.

LED panels carry the living art around the cube. The working prototype already uses LED matrices and a local display controller.

The finished panel specification and enclosure are still being developed.

Inside the cube · Design visualization. Final components and placement are in development.

Listening, memory and privacy

The design includes a visible listening indicator, a way to pause listening, and a distinction between temporary conversation context and moments you choose to keep. If included, the camera would be off by default; a physical shutter and clear activation indicator are part of the design.

Speech and sensor processing are intended to stay local. Outside services and remote access need their own security and data-flow review. These controls are in development; your proposal will specify what stays in the home and what can leave it.

What we’re exploring

Microphones, audio output, contactless radar, depth sensing and environmental sensors would connect the cube to the room. Sensor windows, acoustic openings, cooling and service access must be resolved in the final enclosure.

Radar is being evaluated for breathing and heart-rate estimates, beginning with seated, relatively still participants. Movement, position and multiple people make reliable readings harder. The Lamp offers a starting point closer to a participant. These signals would not be treated as proof of an emotion.

Technology references: Infineon radar demonstration, ST depth sensing and Sensirion environmental sensing. These demonstrate component possibilities, not validated Chandelier capabilities.

Your home, from the beginning.

  1. 01A conversation about your space.
  2. 02A demonstration of the working technology.
  3. 03A proposal shaped around your home.

Your proposal defines the hardware, Lamp count, software, installation, price, delivery and support.

Where would the supercomputer live?

Placement needs airflow, power, networking and service access. The enclosure is being developed for display; final dimensions, heat output and sound levels still need to be measured.

What about updates and support?

Software updates, maintenance and hardware servicing will be specified in your proposal. First-edition timing and service commitments are not yet finalized.

What is working, and what is next?

Our existing work includes the residential living-art installation, Burning Man cube prototype and shared visualization at School. The finished home hardware, local AI, sensing and device access are in development. Your demonstration and proposal will establish the capabilities included in your installation.

Where listening matters.Exploring care settings

Presence belongs
in care, too.

A shared image. A moment to settle. Another way to express what is difficult to say. We see possibilities for the Chandelier and the Lamp in rooms where listening matters deeply.

Illustrative care setting: two adults in a thoughtful conversation beneath three equal illuminated cubes, in a warm consulting room facing a garden.

Doctors’ offices

An optional breathing or grounding ritual before a visit. A shared visual point of attention as a patient and doctor begin a conversation.

Psychiatry

Explore an image or metaphor together. Let the patient shape how an experience is expressed, with the clinician guiding the conversation.

Speech therapy

A clinician could select rhythm, pitch or sustained-voice exercises and connect them to visual feedback. Practice becomes something you can hear and see.

These are applications to develop and evaluate with clinicians. Treatment benefits and clinical measurement accuracy have not been established for the Chandelier.
